Machines, Oscars

Now, when something odd is going to happen to me, it happens in plural. I mean it comes in a complete package of funillions. But, thanks to some unknown force, I have started enjoying it. Read the following.

I needed money. I always need money but that specific afternoon I really needed it. Thanks to the growing network of ATMs, you don’t have to keep a whole lota cash in your wallet so it won’t press against your butt all day. Headed for the nearest machine, produced my card from wallet and inserted it immediately into the hole, “but hey wait, what’s that pink thing with it?” . The time I realized that something else was with card, machine drank it in, and in an instant, it went out of service. I mean my card was in and it went of service. The pink thing was my first ever cinema ticket that I was keeping as some kind of souvenir. At first I refused to realized what just had happened but then I thought, thought and it brought this big grin on my face. The kind of grin you see on model’s face in a bank’s ad when he gets some loan or car financing. I enjoy how nature comes to play with me. It’s odd. Now if someday I get a flat tire, I am gonna have that same grin unless I am going for something extremely important.

Oscars. I can’t believe I missed the show. I had been planning about it for a month. I just forgot to set alarm at 7 AM. I woke up at 9:15 to find it almost gone. But not everything’s gone; Daniel Day-Lewis won for the best actor. He has this talent that no other actor has. He gets so into his characters that you start feeling that director has actually hired real person to do it all. He is totally awesome. Though I like George Clooney, because sometimes I look like him, but I don’t know why he was nominated for Michael Clayton. It was just an ok movie; not that good. I am confused myself when it comes to the best movie. I waited for There Will Be Blood for two years and it came well and way above my expectations. But No Country for Old Men was also very good movie. I absolutely loved watching it. So, I am happy for both.
