Finally, I lanuched the private beta of it. So, so much hard work, many unslept nights and many weekends on a single chair and table. I feel relieved and happy.
Firstly, I love people who think the unorthodox, out-of-the-box way. This is my primary reason for my love for Apple and their design approach. They actually create things. But the fact is that there are not many people of this kind. Secondly, I am fan of minimalistic approach in designs of anything but clothes. Thirdly, I am opinionated, out-spoken and enraged at times. These three qualities pushed me for a step to create something of my own using my own approach.
Since I am a QA person, we have to work with certain methods to report bugs and maintain records of them. All the softwares for this purpose that I have seen were pathetic. So many useless options without which life could have been much easier. Then I thought: “Why not make one of my own?”
I started working on it from the end of last August. Then dumped it for a month and half, then started working again. Not to mention the recurring sessions of procrastination. But at the end, it came well and I launched it today on office network. The response was good. Some of the colleagues appreciated, some remained dumfounded and silent. Actually another reason behind making of this all was to tell them that how actually to make a reasonably good app in unreasonably less time. It pains me find that even if you want to get a button changed of the official app you will be told to wait for a day with all the technical jargons. I believe so much time is wasted on workplace that could be put for a good use.
About the app: it’s simple, easiest to use, with all the major features and plus of Ajax and Histories and Activities. Works in all browsers regardless of complex CSS and Ajax stuff. Design is the best I ever created.
Anyways, I am happy and still a little creative, I guess.
